Hi all,
Here is my dilema. For one of my credit card accounts, I have reconciled to the bank. However, I noticed that the credit card register contains what appears to be manually added transactions from a csv upload. These transactions need to be deleted and there are over 300 of them. Within the credit card register the status for all of these are blank, ie no value. And on the banking page in qbo, the credit card account does not even show these transactions! This is impacting my financial reports big time, as reports are generated from transactions on the register, even if not reconciled. Please help me resolve this, as I also have another bank account and register with the same issue. And please dont say i have to delete one by one! I will go mad if this is the case, and likely look for another vendor for my bookeeping.
Hi there, markc1960.
Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing details on how the Register page works. Beforehand, please know that QuickBooks is constantly changing and evolving based largely on the requests of users. I'll ensure you can send feedback so our product developers can consider adding the feature in the next updates.
The account register page in QBO gives you the account's history. It lists all past and current transactions associated with it. If you have to review your transactions or make quick edits and delete if needed, you can do them right from an account register. However, you'll have to manually remove each entry on the page and doing them by bulk is currently unavailable. With this, I encourage you to submit feedback and these requests and suggestions are forwarded to the Product Development Team for consideration in the future. To do that, you'll have to log in to your QuickBooks Online account and go to the Gear icon and click Feedback.
Lastly, you may refer to this article to further guide you in effectively managing your business using QBO: Help guide for QuickBooks Online. It contains topics about advanced accounting, banking, and how entries or data work in the system.
Let me know if there's anything else you need help with managing your transactions. Know that I'm always here to help you anytime. Take care and keep safe!
Thank you! will give it a try. I did use another one on a trial basis, but did not see the option to delete from my register. Plus they only allow 20 transactions on a trial basis. I will let yall know!
To cancel a credit card transaction, contact either the merchant on the other side of the transaction or the credit card company. Which you should contact first depends on whether or not you think the transaction is fraudulent.
