Can I edit the New Jersey Unemployment Insurance - Wage Report generated by QBO, before QBO files the report with NJ? Report generated by QBO with Payroll is wrong.

Hello there, @maurak25.

I have some info with regards to correcting your New Jersey Unemployment Insurance - Wage report in QuickBooks.

The data generated in the payroll reports depends on the transactions you've entered inside QuickBooks. Let me discuss with you the probable cause of this issue and how to fix it. This way, we can correct your report.

First, check the dates on your QuickBooks SUI wage report and your actual payroll report if they are matched. This can be one of the reasons why you're getting this issue.

If your filtered reports are correct, it's could be that the New Jersey Unemployment Insurance rate is incorrect and might causing the issue. Let's check your Payroll settings to see if the rate is correct. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Click the Gear icon and select Payroll settings.
  3. If you're using Core, Premium, and Elite subscription, go to the State tax section, select the Pencil✎ icon to edit. For Payroll Enhanced, select State Taxes instead.
  4. In the State Unemployment Insurance (SUI) Setup section, click Change or add a new rate.
  5. Enter the correct rate and its effective date.
  6. Select OK to save changes.

After this, QuickBooks will retroactively adjust your checks to correct your tax liability. Then, go back to your payroll report and check if it's showing the correct amount.

If you're still getting the same issue, I'd recommend reaching out to our Payroll Support Team. This way, they can review your payroll account and check for any discrepancies in your reports.

Additionally, you can customize your payrolls according to your business preference in QuickBooks. This will help you in viewing the details that matter the most to you.

I'm just a reply away if you have other questions with the QuickBooks Online Payroll. Just add the details of your concerns in this thread and I'll help you out. Have a great day ahead and more power to your business.

Thanks Raymond, but that's not the issue.   The NJ-WR30 Wage Report lists employees, total wages for each and total weeks for each.  No SUI rate involved.  QBO calculated total wages correctly.  It did not calculate weeks worked in the quarter.  How can I edit weeks worked?

I would LOVE to "talk" to someone who can TELL me where to find the WR30 report .... and can verify that the base week $ has been changed to $220 for 2021 - [email address removed]
