Can I track two locations in QBO if they have unique FEINs, or must I run separate instances of QBO?

The two businesses are identical in operation and have common ownership.  The owners like to be able to see aggregated results as well as by location.

Good day, frax.

I’m glad you turned to the Community about tracking businesses with different FEINs. Let me provide some additional information about this.

In QBO, you have the ability to track multiple companies with our Location Tracking feature, providing you have only one EIN. Since you have a different EIN for the other business, you’ll need a separate subscription to accurately track the other company.

For the detailed instructions on how to subscribe, follow these steps:

  1. In your browser, enter this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/choose-country/, then select your country.
  2. Choose the appropriate product. For example, Simple Start, Essentials, or Plus.
  3. Select Start Free Trial or Buy Now.
  4. On the next screen, you ’ll get the option to either continue to create a free trial or buy now for a discounted price.
  5. Since you already have an account with Intuit, select Add another company.
  6. Enter your Email Address (User ID) and Password.
  7. Choose Add new company.

Feel free to read this link on how to create a new QuickBooks Online company or companies.

That's it! That information should give you some direction for this situation.

Should you have any questions in the future or concerns, reach out back to me by mentioning my name. I'm always ready to help. Wishing you well.
