Can my verification phone number and my Company Phone be different?

Subject Line says it all. I'm the account administrator.

Can my verification phone number and my Company Phone be different?

Definitely, yes, boque. You can go to the Account and Settings to update the company phone number and change the verification phone number on the Mange Intuit Account page. I'll guide you how.
 

Here's how to update the company phone number:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings under the Your Company column.
  3. Select the Company tab.
  4. Update the company phone.
  5. Click Save. Then, click Done to reflect the changes.

 

To update your verification code phone number, follow these steps:

 

  1. On the QuickBooks Home page, click on the blue icon with the first letter of your name. Alternatively, you can go directly to the Intuit Account page. 
  2. Select on Sign in and Security
  3. Choose the Phone number option and click on Change to update it. 
  4. Click Save.

Thank you! I found how to change the Company info, but not my user info as Admin. Great answer.

Can my verification phone number and my Company Phone be different?

When I get to the second to last "hange",  it is still sending verification to the phone number that has been disconnected. And I do not have two factor set up.

Hello FGTC.

 

Two-step verification in QuickBooks Online requires a mobile code to confirm your identity and secure account access.

 

If you follow the steps outlined above, it only applies if you are still using the same phone number. If you are not, you need to update your contact information to sign in to your account. Once your information is updated, you can proceed to turn off two-step verification. Here's how to do it:

 

  1. Complete the Email Change Request form. Make sure to enter your new phone number in the Recovery Number field.
  2. Attach a copy of any of your photo ID forms. Then, select Browse.
  3. Find and select the file, then click Open.
  4. Once the file is uploaded, select Submit.
  5. Once you receive a notification that your phone number is updated, sign in to your Intuit account.
  6. From the left menu, click Sign in & security.
  7. Select 2-step verification.
  8. Turn off the Use 2-step verification switch.
  9. Enter your account password, then click Continue.
