Using QB Online and QB supplied Deposit Tickets I can't get them to align properly. In fact, the alignment tool seems to have the opposite effect that it is supposed to and even taking that into account they won't align.
Thank you for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community, WRG45.
Let's make sure that we've updated and defaulted the adobe reader setup. Let me show you how:
If your printed page is still not aligned with your pre-printed form, the next step is to fine-tune the alignment of your printed page.

This didn't help. I had already tried everything in that response.
Nope, that doesn't fix it. Already tried that.

Hi,
We have the same issue and can not seem to figure out how to resolve the issue. Is there answer to fix this yet?
HI,
we are having the same issue but I can not find where they ever fixed this issue?
Is the problem with Adobe Reader? I use Chrome and that does not support Adobe Reader. In fact Adobe seems to only be usable on Internet Explorer?
My Intuit purchased deposit slips don't even kind of line up.
I actually watched a Youtube Video and kind of fixed it that way. I got it to line up as good as I could. I do 15 for Horizontal and 2 for Vertical, this might help you. We use Intuit slips as well.
Ive just spend several hour trying to get my deposit slip that I bought from QB to line up. They wont. I spent another couple hours on the phone with customer support. They say its not a problem with QB, its my computer/printer. They cant tell me what to even look for in the printer set up. They said they know people are having issues but they have determined it not their issue. They told me that the can proof it by saving the deposit as a PDF, if that prints not line up its not their issue. That explanation make zero sense to me, a PDF just saves it however it looks like, it doesnt adjust it to line up with a preprinted document. No other solutions. I have a couple hundred dollars in pre printed deposit slips that I might as well use as a paperweight. GRRRRRR
Apparently they haven't been working on it too diligently- I am having the same issue right now and burned up half my day trying to get my deposit slips aligned.
Hello, RachelH3ll.
I've got your back on aligning checks and deposit slips in QuickBooks Online (QBO), RachelH3ll.
Before printing your deposit slips, there are a few steps we’ll have to perform. This is to ensure the information on the transaction prints in the correct areas of the pre-printed form.
Let’s start by printing a sample deposit. The process will help us check how it lines up with the deposit slip form. I recommend using blank paper to save your slips.
Here’s how:
If we continue to get the same result, set up the Adobe Reader and fine-tune the alignment. Here’s an article that will guide you through the procedure: Set up and print deposit slips.
For additional troubleshooting options to fix printing issues, you might want to keep these articles handy:
I'm always here if you need further help in setting up and printing your deposit slips. Take care and have a great rest of the day!
Nope - doesn't work at all - this is an Intuit issue for sure.
Won't need to buy their printed product anymore.
Good morning, @HugoSyd.
Thanks for coming back on this thread. Let me point you in the right direction to get this fixed as soon as possible.
Since the issue is persisting, I recommend getting in touch with our Customer Support Team for further assistance. Here's how:
It's that easy!
Keep us updated on how the call goes. I'm only a post away if you need me again. Have a great day!
I can't get this to work either. I'm using the current version of QBO and Adobe and working on a MAC. I have tried at least 100 times to get the deposit slips to line up and currently, half off the page. The little alignment grid is garbage - no matter where I move it, the print sample looks THE SAME. I have $100 in deposit slips that I can't use, and I'm still HANDWRITING MY DEPOSITS after spending HOURS trying to fix this.
I'll make this up for you, @jlm7.
First off, I'd like to appreciate you for adding a screenshot. It gives me a visual presentation of your concerns.
Have you tried printing other forms rather than deposits? If not, I'd recommend doing so. This way, we'll be able to determine if it has something to do with the deposit forms only or all forms.
If you weren't able to print other forms, it may be caused by your print setting. With this, I'd recommend configuring your printing settings to isolate the issue. However, if you can print other forms rather than deposits, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Care Support. This way, they'll be able to perform a screen sharing to look at the root cause of this behavior and provide you with a permanent fix so you can seamlessly print your deposits.
Here's how to contact support in case you needed the steps:
Should you need a reference in recording and managing bank deposits, feel free to browse through this article: Record and make bank deposits in QuickBooksOnline.
I'm always available to be of assistance in case you need one in printing deposits in QBO, just ping me in the comment section. You have a good one.
My Intuit purchased checks don't print properly either. I can only print 2 on a page - the 3rd is worthless. I no longer use any other pre-printed forms so can't speak to that.
I agree with @jlm7 no matter how much I move the grid, nothiung changes on the form.
Let's make sure you'll be able to print your checks without issues, HugoSyd.
Generally, you can print the check directly in QuickBooks Online (QBO) after you've created them. Since it's not printing properly, check the type of check you're printing by opening the print setup. To do so, follow the steps below:
However, if it's still not printing correctly, you can follow the troubleshooting steps found in this article: Configure Your Print Settings For Printing Checks In QuickBooks Online.
Furthermore, QuickBooks provides several reports that tell you the different aspects of your business. You'll just have to customize them so you'll get the data you need. I've added this article for your reference: Customize Reports In QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you have any questions when printing checks. Remember, we're here to make sure everything gets covered.
Thank you for your response and direction.
I was able to print aligned deposit slips for about one day, but the next day it was a mess that couldn't be fixed and a mystery with no solution.
It took at least an hour to get the checks aligned to print and it is working well enough for now...however, as with everything in QBO, it could all be a dumpster fire tomorrow for no reason.
*If you are going to advertise the ability to print checks and deposit slips and then sell the blank forms to customers, the system should work with what was purchased FROM QUICKBOOKS without doing hours of research to fix the issues and then spending hours on the phone watching someone do the exact same thing I was doing, then waiting for someone else to look, then someone else, then another guy, until we all give up. I bought your product, and you stole my time. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.
I have worked with QBO and QB Desktop over a span of 10 years, and I am disappointed in how little control the user has with QBO. Granted, both have their upsides and drawbacks, but the cartoonish look of QBO doesn't make up for the loss of functionality. And every time there is an update, I have to budget part of my work week to fix functions and create workarounds that weren't an issue 24 hours earlier.
I will put in a ticket with the call center, what's another day of lost production....
I'm using Intuit checks, completed the setup per QB Online.
No, they don't line up correctly - the 1st 2 checks on a 3 check sheet print ok (the 1st is perfect, the 2nd OK), but the 3rd check is completely out of line.
Let's try changing the page scale to achieve a better fit, HugoSyd.
After selecting Print, choose Shrink to Printable Area from the Page Scaling drop-down. If the same issue persists, try adjusting the alignment while using our QuickBooks-compatible checks.
Please check out this article for tips on how to adjust the alignment: how to adjust the alignment: Learn how to fix the alignment when printing paychecks using QuickBooks-compatible checks. It'll show you how to set up printing preferences and check the alignment.
I'm also adding this article for other troubleshooting steps you can try: Fix QuickBooks Online printing issues on browsers for Windows.
I hope you find the information I've shared easy to follow. Let me know how this goes by commenting below. I'll stay around and check the results. Or provide additional steps when needed to fix the alignment.
1st - I'm not printing paychecks.
2nd - I've done all of these steps - no alignment.
Good day, HugoSyd.

If the check still doesn't line up correctly with your checks, we can fine-tune your check alignment.

I also recommend reaching our Support Team so they can check and investigate further about this check alignment problem.
