Can we run reports like those found in Square? Would like to see sales in a graph by the hour and by product to see when our busy time is each day and history.

We are a family entertainment center with mini golf, go karts, paddle sports, etc. Everything is walk-on. We used Square the first year and got phenomenal reports out of it. We could see what hour of the day was most profitable, when our valleys were, what products sold the best, etc. —all in a line graph. Is this anything I can get out of QB or is it only a typical sales report that I need an Excel wizard to convert?

Consider having a BI app

What is that, if I may ask?

Thanks for posting this here in the Community space, @RitaE. I've got your back, and I'll ensure you can get through this and run a sales report with graphs in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

If you're using QuickBooks Online Advanced version, you can create custom charts to track the data you need for your business. That said, you can choose the metric and the specific data the chart will include, like products, services, and locations.

If you wish to continue, I'll gladly input the steps below so you can proceed. To begin, here's how:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to the Business overview.
  3.  Select Reports (Take me there), or go to Reports (Take me there).
  4. Go to the the Performance center tab.

Know that if you visit the performance center for the first time, you'll see that QuickBooks already has built-in charts ready for you. You can still customize them to meet your business needs.

See this article for more information about this feature : Create charts to see your business performance.

In case you're using other versions like QuickBooks Online Simple Start, Essentials, or Plus, know that this feature is not available and that you can consider 3rd party integrations to run reports with charts for visual purposes.

You can visit our QBO App Store to see the list of third-party apps that you can integrated with your account: QuickBooks Online App Store.

Additionally, here's an article about how to export your reports out of QBO: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online.

I also recommend checking this page in case you'd like to import data to your QuickBooks Online account: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.

Should you need further assistance managing business reports in QuickBooks? Or do you need help performing specific tasks in QuickBooks? Know that I'll always be right here and that you can get back to me anytime. I'll be more than happy to help you again. Take care, and have a good one!

I do not have Advanced, nor do I want to upgrade for one more thing. I feel this program is too expensive as it is to have to continuously pay for this and for that. Not to mention the constant up sells every time I talk to support.
