Good evening, @userhiring.
It's great to see you back in the Community. This isn't the impression I want to leave you with. Allow me to give you some more details.
I see how critical getting this QBX file as a QBW file so that you can see your records in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. However, the only way to do this action is by using the steps my colleague provided to you in the other thread. Here's the thread: How can I open a QBX file in QBO without having access to QB Desktop?
To ensure that you're receiving all the information in your QBO account, I recommend going through the steps in this guide: Convert an accountant's copy to a regular company file.
Should you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm always here to lend a helping hand. I value you as a customer, so if you have any questions, please let me know. I'm only a post away if you need me.

Does this mean I need to contact my old bookkeeper and ask them to send me a QBW file instead? Is it normal for them to only send a QBX file?
Yes. You should contact your bookkeeper and ask her sending another file format. QBB is the best one. Otherwise, you may contact Support and ask for Data Service to convert it, or purchase a 3rd party conversion service.
