Credit card lost and now updates are broken

Six months ago I lost my Marriot card and had it replaced. I went thru the process to link the account and now I have a problem. If I go to the register I only see the card payments from my bank and no charges appear. If I select the card in the transactions menu I see both the new and the old account number and a balance by each and a message "We can’t find this account at your bank" under the old account.

If I click report this and get a message when it is fixed nothing happens. I have done this may times over the last 4 months. If I go to manage connections I see the replacement account and the old account number. If I try and disable the old account number I get the error "Something DIdn't work". If I click fix this now and go to the process I see that new account is linked.

Can anybody help with this?

Credit card lost and now updates are broken

Hello, ispybadguys.

I'll help you in resolving the online banking connection issue for your credit card account.

To be sure, did you create a new credit card register account when you received the replacement card? Any information you provide will assist me in providing the best solution to your problem.

You should disconnect the previous connection now that you have a replacement card. Before disconnecting your online banking, please ensure to add or match any pending transactions in the For Review tab. Once done, follow the steps below in disconnecting the credit card account:

  1. Go to Banking on the left pane, then select Banking at the top.
  2. Choose your CC account and click Edit (pencil icon).
  3. Click Edit account info.
  4. In the Account window, check the box next to Disconnect this account on save.
  5. Click Save and Close.

You are now ready to reconnect it. Here's how it's done:

  1. Go to Banking, and then select Banking at the top.
  2. Click the Add account button, and then enter the bank's name.
  3. Choose the bank with (Existing Connection) if you’ll use the same login credentials. Choose the bank with (New connection with a different login) if you’ll use a new one.
  4. Enter your User Id or Login Id and password, and then click Continue.
  5. Check the box next to the account that you want to connect, and then click the QuickBooks Account drop-down and select the account (from your Chart of Accounts).
  6. Click Connect and when it is done connecting click I’m done. Let’s go!.

Credit card lost and now updates are broken

Thanks for the help but this didn't quite work. I followed the instructions and when I got to the part to re-add the account Chase says he account (with the new number) is already being shared and the continue button is grayed out. Now when I go to Banking the Chase card does not show up in the list of credit cards.

Thanks

Kurt
