Has the Sales Tax Reporting numbers impacted by a recent QB system error been fixed yet? I waited until after the 15th but my numbers look off.

I have negative non-taxable sales.  Ours is mostly a Service based business so we don't usually issue credits.  Should I follow the links in the email I received anyway?

Thanks for notifying us of your concern, Eipon.

As per checking, we've received similar reports about the Sales Tax Liability report in QuickBooks Online (QBO) showing negative non-taxable sales. In the meantime, I recommend reaching out to our customer support team so they can include you in the list of affected users.

To do that:

  1. Go to the Help icon and click the Search tab.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Describe your concern and select Continue.
  4. Choose between Chat with us and Have us call you.

Furthermore, I'll share this article to help you review and handle your sales tax payments in QBO: Manage sales tax payments in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know in the comments below if you need further assistance in managing your sales taxes. We're always here to help. Take care.
