Hi there, ed.
You can set a schedule and email information for a memorized report in QuickBooks Online. Once you memorized a report, you can send it by email on a recurring schedule.
You can send an individual report or a group report. Here's how you can do it:
Let me know how it goes on your end. I want to make sure you're properly taken care of. Thanks for coming to the Community, I'll be standing by for your response. Have a good one!
Can you schedule management reports to run automatically in QBO?
I'm glad to see you here, CDB1.
Setting email schedule is only available to custom reports in QuickBooks Online. For now, you can only send management reports manually by selecting the Send option from the Reports section.
I'm also attaching some screenshots for your reference about the available option:

Feel free to get back to me if you have additional questions with running reports in QuickBooks. I'm always up to lend a hand.
Hi AlcaeusF,
Thank you for the prompt reply.I do run scheduled reports now and was hoping to run the management reports as well - maybe in the future.
I do have another question - in running custom reports can I send more than 1 report together? For example, I want to send a balance sheet and a comparative income statement together so I can comment and keep everything in 1 email - makes it look more professional and clients do not have to open 2 emails and go back-and-forth to read the statements. Thanks in advance,
Hi CDB1,
Sending multiple scheduled reports in one email is a great idea. I'll finitely pass it along together with the management reports to our Product Developers Team as a feature request.
As a workaround, you can save PDF copies of these reports on your computer and send them using the company email manually.
We're glad to hear suggestions coming from customers. Please keep them coming. If you've got any other concerns, you can always come back and post questions. We are here to help.
Thank you - and I am surprised others have not asked for this feature (combining reports). I have been savings PDF copies and then sending but it is cumbersome and I ready would like to automate this process.
Is there an option to have the scheduled report emailed at a specific time, like QB Desktop offers? If not, what time does the report get emailed?
At the end of each week we need to send a report on how much was invoiced that week, so if we scheduled the report to email automatically we need it to be created and emailed around the end of the work day on Fridays so it will include any invoices that were created during the day Friday. But the only thing I see to select is "Friday", not "4pm on Friday".
Hi alhilpert,
Currently, setting up a specific time for the scheduled emailed report isn't possible. Rest assured, that your reports will still be sent on the scheduled date. I'll be sending a feedback request to our engineers to get this option added in the future update.
In the meantime, please check our blog site to know the latest update of QuickBooks. Here's the link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/blog/whats-new/.
I've also added our page about reports and accounting for future reference.
You can always drop a comment anytime if you have other questions.
What time do reports normally go out? I have it scheduled for today, October 4 and reports have not been sent out. Is it EOD on October 4.
Hi AlejandraJLSA,
The reports will be automatically sent out on the date that you've set up.
However, when I checked our records, I verified that our product engineers are now looking into this issue. We're doing our best now to fix this as soon as possible. I also recommend reaching out to our Phone Support Team to add you as one of the affected users.
Here's how to contact them:

It would be great if in addition to setting the time to send reports, we could also opt to attach them as a PDF...
Thanks for joining this thread, hm_shadow.
Allowing QuickBooks to set the time when sending reports is a great idea.
I'll pass along your feedback to our Product Team. This way, they can take a look at this suggestion and see how they can approve it in the future.
Also, you already have the option to attach them as PDF. Just make sure to put a checkmark in the Attach the report as an Excel file box to include the file in the email.
I suggest visiting and joining the QuickBooks blog to stay current on all news and latest updates of the product.
You can also check the video tutorial below for additional guidance email reports on a recurring schedule.

Hello,
I cant find this option when editing the report in quickbook online
Hi there, Breezyn.
Did you save the report in the Custom reports tab? You'll have to click on Save customization, so you'll be able to set an email schedule.
You can refer to the screenshot below.
Once done, you can follow these steps to find the report:
See the Set schedule and email information for a memorized report article for further guidance.
You'll also learn how to get more info out of your custom reports in QuickBooks Online.

Hello EZVik,
Yes, the Set email schedule option is only available in QuickBooks Online Essentials, Plus, and Advanced versions.
Based, on your screenshot,, you're likely using the Simple Start version. You might want to upgrade your subscription to have this feature.
Aside from that, you'll be able to access more reports and other features that can help you manage your business. Here's a list of reports you can access based on your subscription: Reports included in your QuickBooks Online subscription.
If you don't want to upgrade your subscription, you can manually email the report manually.
Links that can help you customize the reports were already provided on the earlier responses. You can browse them to know more.
Keep us posted if you require more assistance with this.
I set the scheduled reports to automatically email on Fridays to see what time it would actually get sent. Yes, it did email on Friday, but guess what time? 3am. So it did not include any of Friday's activities, meaning it was a useless option for providing weekly information due by end-of-day Friday.
Since the option to automatically email reports at a more specific time is a feature offered on Desktop, this is just one more example of how Online is a frustratingly inferior product. I've sent Feedback on many such missing features, but haven't seen anything fixed. Instead of the "Submit your concern to Feedback" answer I keep coming across with everything, perhaps the standard answer should be "Get rid of Online and get Desktop instead"?
Hello, @alhilpert. Thank you for your feedback.
I can see that this is inconvenient for you and your business, and this is not our intention.
Like my colleagues said, the feedback has been given to our Product Development Team, and to learn about more updates on future features added, you can follow our QuickBooks Blog.
Please don't forget us here in the Community. I wish you and your business great success!
Does this work in all versions of QBO? I don't see the email toggle. We pay for QB plus.
Welcome to the thread, @5926.
Setting a schedule and email information for a memorized report works in some versions except for the Simple Start plan.
Since you're using Plus, you can take advantage of this feature while managing your business. The email schedule will show once the report is already on the Custom Reports page.
Let me show you how:
You can also refer to this article for your guide: Set schedule and email information for a memorized report.
However, if this option isn't visible, I'd suggest opening your QBO account using a private window to check if this is a browser issue.
Depending on your browser, here's how:
If it works fine, using incognito, you can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache. This will clear the stored data on your platform that may cause some issues in using QuickBooks.
You can also use a different browser if the issue persists.
Feel free to post an update on how it goes, as I want to ensure that you get the desired setup for your scheduled reports. I hope you have a wonderful day.
It says you can attach and Excel, but not PDF. Will this option be added soon? It would be great not to have to download manually and send when you have 30 different reports that need to go out to different people.
Hi lwalkercfo,
Currently, you can only attach the report as an Excel file. The ability to attach it as PDF file would greatly help your business. I'll make sure pass this along to our product team for future product enhancement. You'll want to either attach it as an Excel file or send the PDF directly through email.

My Custom reports page shows a column for email, but the only entry below says Unscheduled. Clicking the down arrow under action does not display the Set Email button described in this discussion.
I checked in Accounts and Settings under the Billing and Subscription tab and we are subscribed to QuickBooks Plus, but the email options described in this thread do not appear.
