Hoe do I add a trail balance sheet to my books from a Operating Company? Its under 1 LLC but we have 2 bank acounts. The management company doesnt use quickbooks

Welcome, @dawnsmith3.

 

Let’s get the trial balance sheet into your QuickBooks. You can import a Trial Balance report in QB and here’s how:

 

  1. Pick Import Data from the Tools menu.
  2. Click Trial Balances.
  3. Choose Download a sample file located in the Checklist before import box.
  4. Use the sample file as your template. Copy account names from your original Trial Balance into the Account Name column in the sample file. Do the same for the Credit and Debit columns. Make sure you format the Credit and Debit column cells with Number as type.
  5. Assign an appropriate Type and Detail.
  6. Perform the import.

 

You may also check out the Traditional Trial Balance report:

 

  1. Locate the Reports menu.
  2. Find Accountant & Taxes.
  3. Press Trial Balance.
  4. Change the date range of the report.
