Hello there, SouthernShore. I know some tips regarding exporting the QuickBooks Online (QBO) data to TurboTax.
The feature of sending your QBO data directly to TurboTax is currently unavailable. However, you can convert your QBO data into a QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) file first, and then transfer it. If you don't have QBDT, you can download the trial version of it by visiting the official website of QuickBooks Desktop or accessing this link: Download a trial of QuickBooks Desktop.
To convert your data, here's a complete guide for you to do it: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.
After converting your files, you can now transfer them to TurboTax by following these steps:
- Sign in to your TurboTax.
- From the TurboTax File menu, click Import.
- Tap From Accounting Software.
- Choose QuickBooks (2018-2021), then click Continue.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
I'll leave these materials for you to utilize in case you need to send your QBO data again to TurboTax and to know the limitations as you convert your QBO files into QBDT:
Furthermore, you can also run a financial report to give you a snapshot of your business: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.
You can always ask us if you have more questions regarding transferring your file to TurboTax, and we'll be available to assist you in any way possible.
