The best option is converting your data to QB Desktop file. You can use the trial version to access your historical data for good.

Hello there, @hoodjernigan. It's sad to see you go, but I'm happy to help back up your company file.

Ideally, QuickBooks Online (QBO) will save your backups to Dropbox or Google Drive if you're using the Advanced plan. To learn more about the process, please browse this article: Back up and restore your QuickBooks Online Advanced Company.

If you're using the QBO Simple Start, Essentials, or Plus versions, you can manually export data and save copies to your computer's OneDrive.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then pick Export Data under Tools.
  2. Select the reports or lists you want to export.
  3. Tap on Export to Excel.

For your inventory or product and services:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, and click on Products and Services under Lists.
  2. From the More drop-down arrow, select Run report.
  3. Hit the Export icon beside the Print button, then choose Export to Excel.

Once done, you can now cancel your account. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Profile, select Subscriptions and Billing.
  3. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel your trial.
  4. Click Continue to cancel twice.
  5. Follow the next steps.
  6. Select Submit and Cancel subscription.
  7. Hit Got it.

Moreover, I'll be providing these helpful articles that can further guide you with managing your subscription and learning more about what will happen to your data after the process:

Additionally, you may want to utilize the trial version of QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to convert your data, enabling you to access it anytime.

Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your business. If you have other queries with QBO, don't hesitate to add them to your reply. Take care.

3rd-party tools also do such tasks well. If you want to export data to another cloud or local storage, you can try Skyvia. You can find more information here.

It is especially helpful for regular exports but also works well for one-time exports.

Hope it helps
