How do I change my business description

Welcome in QuickBooks Community, calhoon777.

Are you trying to update your business type? The QuickBooks Self-Employed is designed only to track your income and expense of your self-employment transactions. We're unable to setup business types in this version. You can read this articles for your reference:

If you're referring with QuickBooks Online, we can update your Industry type and your Tax form. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings.
  2. On the Company tab, select Company type.
  3. From the Tax form and Industry drop-down, select which one is appropriate for your business.
  4. Click Save.

I'll be right here if you need more help. Have a great day!

How do I change my business description

Good afternoon, 9981.

I want to make sure you're able to access the Account and Settings section of QuickBooks Online.

If you're unable to see this area, it may be due to the type of user permissions you have or a browser issue. To rule out the browser issue, I recommend clearing the cache as an initial troubleshooting step. If the cache gets too full of older data, it can potentially cause viewing and performance errors within the system. Clearing it will get everything back to operating as normal. Here's how to get this done if you're using Chrome:

1. Click the three vertical dots in the top right corner.

2. Select More Tools, then Clear Browsing Data.

3. Change the time range to All Time.

4. Only check Cached images and files.

5. Click Clear data.

The following article offers similar steps if you're using a different browser: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1771586

Additionally, you can view even more info about editing your company settings in QuickBooks Online by clicking the link.

I'm only a comment or post away if you have any other questions.
