How do I export qb online data to qb desktop? I did it last year but it's not working the same and the other community topics don't work with the current version of qbo.

The Export data option within the gear icon only allows to export lists and reports to an excel file. Last year I did it for a class to a trial version and it had to go through a process and be emailed to me to when it was complete for me to download. Nove of that is possible now.

Do you need to migrate data from QB Online US version to QB Desktop US version? Visit the following reference

https:// quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/import-or-export-data-files/export-and-convert-your-quickbooks-online-data-to-quickbooks/01/186187

Utilize the trial license of QBD 2021 Pro and you may purchase the one time license later.

How do I export qb online data to qb desktop? I did it last year but it's not working the same and the other community topics don't work with the current version of qbo.

I finally got enough help from a QB technician and was able to use what we were finding to get it exported.  The problem is that QBO does not have a specific feature for going back to a desktop version.  After going to the export data feature (in QBO on web browser only) you have to change the web address after the app/ to this:  exportqbodatatoqbdt.  I guess they don't expect anyone to go back to desktop after trying online.  I loved online but hate how super slow it is and the loss of the customization of reports and invoices, etc.  So I'm going back to desktop.  I did the export twice and it lost soooo much data.  It lost invoices and probably 50% of the invoice payments and deposits.  My bank accounts showed to be $63k overdrawn and over $20k in another.  I did the export twice and it came out the same.  I don't know if there is a way to be specific on what to export and import it into the new file on desktop.  Currently you can't import it into a current desktop file using the method I did... you have to create a new company/file each time.  Any suggestions on that this problem of data loss???

It's our top priority to ensure you're able to move your file to the desktop version, Klutkenhaus.

I see that you've already performed the steps to export the file from QuickBooks Online. Since some data are still missing, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They're equipped with tools to check its cause and assist you in exporting the file successfully.

Here's how:

  1. Click the (?) Help icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Dashboard.
  2. Select Talk to a Human.
  3. Enter a short description of your concern and press Enter.
  4. Click I still need a human.
  5. Select Contact Us to connect with our live support.
  6. Choose Get a callback.

Also, there are things to keep in mind before converting your file. Please see this article to learn more about themLimitations When you Switch from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.

I'm always here if you have other questions with regards to exporting your company file, Klutkenhaus. It's my pleasure to help you out again.

Another option, purchase a 3rd party conversion service.
