We'll have to make sure that your client accepts the invitation, tpcpa52.

This is one of the reasons why they can't connect to QuickBooks. Let your client check their registered email address and click the Accept Invite button. Afterward, they'll be asked to set up their profile.

Once completed, you'll receive an email notification that the master admin rights has been transferred to your client.

Afterward, you're good to create an invoice or manually add transactions. Here are articles that can guide you with the detailed steps:

Client was present when invite was sent and received. He was using his phone. I am not sure whether he denied or accepted. I think that he did not get to that point, as first, the email invite asked him to log in to intuit. He did so using a different email account.  He then asked me to change the email account in QuickBooks Online and to resend the invite. How do I then resend the invite? I know that there was a pop up screen for the invite and probably for a re-invite. However, I am beyond that. How do I now issue an invite to the same client but using the changed email.

Thank you for getting back, @tpcpa52.

You must delete the previous invite and resend the invite to your client using the correct (changed) email.

To delete the invite:

  1. Click Manage Users from the Gear icon.
  2. Under the Manage users page, look for the client's name under Users or Accounting.
  3. Go to the drop-down arrow under Action, then tap Delete.

Once completed, resend the invite:

  1. From the Gear icon select Manage Users.
  2. On the Manage users page, click on Add user.
  3. Select the user type, click Next. More options will appear on the screen depending on the user type you select.
  4. On the Add a new user page, add your client's name and the correct email address.
  5. Tap on Save.
