how to add a date in an app transaction?

I appreciate the efforts you've put in, Karin. Let's explore further options to address the transaction missing a date and no field for adding or modifying it in the Order details.

When you encounter a transaction in QuickBooks Online (QBO) that lacks a date, and there is no option to add or edit the date in the Order details, let's make a manual entry to address the issue.

Here's how:

  1. Go to + New on the left-side menu.
  2. Choose the appropriate transaction type (e.g., "Expense," "Check," "Bill," etc.).image (46).png

  3. Fill in all the necessary details, including the missing date, then Save.
  4. Then exclude or delete the original transaction without the date to avoid duplication.

The ability to edit transaction details, such as dates, can vary depending on how the transaction was imported (e.g., from a bank feed or an app integration) and may have limitations.

It is essential to check the app settings and the original data source to understand how dates are managed, ensuring they are accurately recorded and communicated to QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, here are some QuickBooks resources that might help manage your transactions and overall financial management:

how to add a date in an app transaction?

It’s great to see you here, Karin. Keeping your transaction records accurate is crucial, and I'm here to help you figure out how to add the missing date to your App transactions tab.

In your Bank transactions tab, you can see all the details of your transactions, much like what you should see in your App transactions. If the date is missing from your App transactions, the first thing to check is whether the date column is mistakenly unchecked in the settings. Adjusting this can resolve the issue swiftly.

  1. Let's begin by accessing the settings menu of your transaction app.
  2. Confirm that the date column is checked making it visible.

Additionally, it’s essential to reconcile your account to maintain the integrity of your financial records. This will help ensure that everything is accurate and up-to-date.

Keep me updated if you have further concerns with handling other banking-related activities, Karin. I'm always ready to give necessary assistance and resources. Fill me in by leaving a comment below.

All of the dates are listed except for one transaction. It pulled into QBO without the date and there is no field for the date when you select Order details. I only have the Category, Payee, PO Number and Memo fields available. I'm unable to add this entry.
