In QuickBooks Online (QBO), we can adjust the layout of your reports before you print. In the Orientation dropdown, select Portrait or Landscape. However, we can print the report on legal-size paper if the columns still don't fit. Here's how:
To learn more about running and printing the report, you can check out this article: Run reports in QuickBooks Online. You can also save the report as a PDF file and then print it on legal paper. Just find the top of the Acrobat print dialog box where the name of your printer is shown. Then, go to the right of the printer name should be a “Properties” button. Once done, click the properties button and change the paper size from “Letter” to “Legal.”
That should do it! In case you want to personalize reports, browse these guides.

How do I switch to classic view? I can’t find that icon.
I'll help you switch to the classic view, psistar7.
The process is simple if you want to switch to a classic view. Firstly, you must locate the report you wish to view in the classic format. Once you've found it, navigate to the upper right corner of the report, where you'll find a menu of options. You'll see the option to switch to a classic view within this menu. Simply click on that option, and the report will be displayed in the classic mode.
Please refer to my screenshot for visual purposes.
If you cannot find the option to switch to classic views, your browser may have accumulated too much cache. This can cause issues with the functionality of the website. I suggest you access your account using an incognito or private browser to diagnose if this is a browser-related problem. This type of browser will not save any browsing history or cookies, which can help you determine whether the issue is related to your browser. To open an incognito window, follow these steps:
If you're still facing the issue, you can resolve it by clearing the cache on your main portal. Sometimes, the cache in your browser can build up over time, which can cause issues while browsing. Clearing the cache will remove all the temporary files and data stored on your browser and allow it to start with a clean slate. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative in case the issue persists. This will help you identify if the problem is specific to your browser or a system-wide issue.
Furthermore, I would like you to review these guides for additional information on managing your reports. You can learn how to send them to your business partners and include specific data.

I'm using the QuickBooks Online app for Windows, and the only option it gives me for reports is a check box for Display Density (Compact, check or uncheck).
If I open up my 12-month P&L, and I click on a field to drill down into its source, I get a transaction report, and that report does have a classic view option. The 12-month P&L report, however, doesn't have that option. I can force it to print on legal paper in the print settings, but the printed width is only 11" with an extra 1.5" blank left and right margins.
Thank you for the detailed information, sistar.
Currently, the Profit and Loss report doesn't have the option to switch to the classic view. However, we can manually adjust the layout depending on our preferences.
Here are the possible alternatives we can do:

Then, if you've added specific details to the report, we can memorize it to save its current customization settings.
