How to remove my account

Let me share a few details about removing the account.

Do you mean deleting an account from Chart of Accounts? If so, we're unable to delete accounts there. What we can do is to make it inactive to not include in the account lists. Here's how:

1. Go to Accounting on the left panel.
2. Within the Chart of Accounts tab, find the account you'll want to remove.
3. Under the Action column, click the drop-down arrow next to the View register option.
4. Select Make inactive.

That will do. However, if you mean removing your QBO account, we can cancel your account, either it's paid subscription or free trial. Afterward, you can still log in and view the data you have for one year from the start of the day you cancel QuickBooks. Beyond these days, your account data and account will be completely removed.

Here's how to cancel your QBO account:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Select Account and Settings under Your Company.
3. In the Billing and Subscription tab, click Cancel.
