How to transfer bulk data from unspecific location to specific location?

after integration with other software we are getting sales under "unspecific location" rather than specific one, so you could say only "sales & related AR data"

How to transfer bulk data from unspecific location to specific location?

We can find another way to transfer these data to the correct location, u-imtiaz.

Editing transactions by batch feature is available in QuickBooks Desktop. In the QuickBooks Online version, I'm here to walk you through editing each transaction to change the location.

Let's pull up the unspecified location report:

  1. Click on the Gear icon.
  2. Select All Lists.
  3. Click on Locations.
  4. Click on the Run report for the unspecified location.
  5. Open each transaction and update it to change the location.
  6. Click on Save and close.

I'll send feedback to our engineers about adding more options in editing bulk transactions. We don't have a time line as to when it will be added, but rest assured that we are taking note of this. Every customer's voice is very important to us.

If you've got any questions about editing transactions, please let us know. We are one post away.

How to transfer bulk data from unspecific location to specific location?

@u-imtiaz

Even with the QBO Accountant toolbox, you can't do batch reclass for locations. Such an option is just not available in QBO at this time.

I can think of the following three options:

  1. Reclassify manually one at a time
  2. Write a Journal Entry for YTD amount to specific locations you want
  3. Look for 3-rd party app with a free trial. Just to make sure it works.

Hope this helps!
