Hello, we created a new online account and we want to transfer all the data. We are using rewind to back up our old account but we don't see the option to migrate that data to the new account. Please help.
We're glad to have you here, @YARA2.
Let's work together to export data from your existing QuickBooks Online (QBO) account and import them to your new one.
In QBO, you can export reports and lists to save the information you entered into your file to your local hard drive. Here's how:
Once done, the data will be in an individual Excel file in a zip format.
Then, you can import them into the newly created QBO account. Please follow the steps below:
Additionally, we've answered some commonly asked questions about importing data that can help you transfer information seamlessly.
Should you have further questions about transferring your data, please don't hesitate to ask them in the Reply section below. We're here to assist you anytime.
Right. I've done that, but the transfer is glitching. Also, there's no way to transfer my invoices, payments, and more.
If there is, please let me know.
I admire you for performing the steps mentioned above and for coming back to the thread to add extra clarification about your concern, YARA2. Please know that we aim to deliver customer satisfaction at all times and fix an issue as soon as possible. With this, may ask what specific glitch or error you received? Or are you receiving a mapping issue while trying to transfer your data? I appreciate any further details so I can present an accurate solution.
Please keep in mind that when migrating your data, there's a particular file format you can only utilize to ensure everything is accurate. You can use a CSV file (Comma Separated Values), Google Sheets, or an XLS/XLSX file to import information to QuickBooks Online. Also, I recommend making sure to complete details and use the correct mapping when migrating your data. You can open this article to see additional details: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.
If the issue persists, I suggest logging in to your QBO account using a private browser. Then, try to transfer your data from one QBO to another. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue, and private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.
Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:
If it works in incognito, you'll have to clear the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.
On the other hand, you can always have the option to transfer your invoices by following the steps shared in this article: Import customers or vendors from email contacts to QuickBooks Online. However, you need to manually import your bank transactions and enter the other entries in your new QBO.
Lastly, I'm adding this article to see various features you can use and how to utilize them while working on your business using QBO: Help guide for QuickBooks Online. It contains topics about accounting, banking, and payments to name a few.
If you have other questions related to migrating your data in QuickBooks, don't hesitate to let me know by adding a comment below, YARA2. Have a good one!
