I can't attach my bank acct to QB. Even my banker can't figure out why my user name an password is not working to connect the two together. Has anyone had this problem?

I can't attach my bank acct to QB. Even my banker can't figure out why my user name an password is not working to connect the two together. Has anyone had this problem?

It will be my pleasure to help connect your bank account to QuickBooks, @kmartinquilts-gm.

 

Here are the possible scenarios why you're unable to link your financial institution with QuickBooks: 

 

  • Your bank might not connect to all types of accounts (for example, personal accounts vs. business accounts).
  • Your Financial institution is having system maintenance.
  • Some banks have multiple names on our list. You might want to check and select the correct one or try all possible bank URLs.

 

What you can do is reach your bank and check for any maintenance update or request to establish a connection with QuickBooks. If everything is good from your bank's side, make sure to select the correct bank name when connecting the account.

 

Here's how:

  1. Select the Banking or Transactions on the left panel.
  2. Click Link account or Add account
  3. In the Connect your bank or credit card to bring in your transactions field, enter the URL listed for your bank.
  4. Follow the on-screen instruction to connect your account.

 

You'll also want to manually enter transactions to your bank. Please read this article for more information: Manually Upload Transactions into QuickBooks Online.

 

In addition, you can match transactions that you've entered in QuickBooks. Here's an article for reference: Categorize and Match Online Bank Transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Thanks for the advice. As it turns out it is an issue with my bank and their IT Dept is fixing it now. Just glad to know it wasn't something I was doing wrong.
