I closed my business mid 2020, and canceled my subscription to Quickbooks - need to create a W-2 for the year, how do I do this?

I can see that I still have access to view my account from last year, but doesn't seem that I am able to create this form - will I need to re-subscribe?

Good day, 724jentjer.

 

The good thing with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is when you cancel it, you can still have access to your account one year after the cancelation. Thus, you can archive your W2 forms from the last year (2020) so you'll be able to view and print them. I'd be glad to show you how to achieve this below:

 

  1. Go to Taxes on the left navigation menu and choose Payroll Tax.
  2. Select Annual Forms.

  3. Choose W2 form as your filter.
  4. Click View.

  5. If you wish to print it, just click the Printer icon.
