It’s nice to see you in the Community, tstevens.

We can use the Filter feature to show only one account in the Profit and Loss Report and General Ledger. For the Balance Sheet Report, export it to Excel. Then manually select the account you want to display on the statement.

Here’s how:

  1. Click on the Reports menu on the left panel to enter Profit and Loss/General Ledger in the Find report by name field.
  2. When the report opens, tap the Customize button in the upper right to access the Customize report window.
  3. Tap the Filter link to mark the box for Distribution Account and click the drop-down to choose the account you’re working on.

  4. Press Run Report to view the changes.

This how it looks like after following these steps.

To export the Balance Sheet:

  1. Go to the Reports menu on the left panel to enter the Balance Sheet in the Find report by name field.
  2. This will take you to the actual report.
  3. From there, click the Export icon and click the drop-down to select Export to Excel.

  4. Open the spreadsheet and filter the data you want to show on the report.

Here’s an article that outlines the instructions on how to sort the report for specific accounts and show specific customers, vendors, products, or services: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Aside from that, it provides an overview of the following sections: Filter, General, Rows/Columns, and Header/Footer.

However, if you’re referring to a different scenario, I appreciate any details you can share to help me get the same page.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Enjoy the rest of the day.
