If my QBOnline on a Mac suddenly exports spreadsheets full of zeroes, even just using Quick Look to view on the desktop, how can I export data to spreadsheets?

I use LibreOffice now instead of Excel, but even before opening the file, Quick Look shows the export went wrong. How can I fix this?

I'd like help with your question about exporting data to a spreadsheet, Q_B_compatibility_question.

When exporting reports or data from QBO to Excel, the system will give you a protected view. Let me share this article from Microsoft for more details: What is Protected View?

To get the correct values and numbers, you just need to click the Enable Editing button in the upper part of the Excel file.

I'd also like to share these articles for additional reference when running reports in QBO:

Hi, thanks for the attempt, but to be more clear about the problem.

--I am no longer using Excel, I use LibreOffice

--Even **before** I attempt to open the exported QB report, on my Mac desktop when I click "Quick Look" at the export-file, I see all zeroes in the money cells.

Doesn't that indicate that this issue in in how QB is exporting, and not in how any other software is importing?

I’m here to share some information with you, @Q_B_compatibility_question.

QuickBooks Online can only export data to Excel. You can use a third-party app or converter tool so you can move your data to spreadsheets successfully.

QuickBooks offers third-party applications which are located in our Apps center. You can visit it and then check which app works best for you. You can also go to your Apps menu. Here are the steps to do it:

  1. Select the Apps menu from your left navigation pane.
  2. Enter a keyword in the Search field.
  3. Select and open the app. You can read reviews or feedback from other users to help you decide further.
