Yes, QB can only get into your account at eftps using the correct password - you gave the previous one to them.

I understand the requirement to change QB on-line but I waste a lot of time searching for the window/menu to which to make the EFTPS password change; any suggestions?

Resetting the EFTPS password in QuickBooks Online Full Service Payroll must be done together with the help of our support team, mcfarlandrr1.

  1. Click on the Help icon.
  2. Click on Contact us.
  3. Enter Change EFTPS password in QuickBooks Online Full Service Payroll and click on Let's talk.

However, if you'd like to change your EFTPS Internet password from the IRS website, these are the steps:

  1. Go to the EFTPS website: www.eftps.gov/eftps
  2. On the home page, select Login.
  3. Enter your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), PIN, and your current Internet password to log in.
  4. Update your Internet Password to meet the new security requirements.

This really stinks.  I have been handling my own EFTPS passwords for years.  It is not up to Quick Books to tell me how to do what I know how to do.  However, I like the previous commentor have spent HOURS trying to see how to get Quickbooks to acknowledge this since you don't post pertinent information.
