Hi leighreynoldsmue,
I understand that the ads may affect your navigation.
These advertisements are designed to suggest and guide how to improve your QuickBooks experience.
As of now, the option to disable them permanently is unavailable. I have a workaround that you may want to consider.
You can disable the Pop-ups and redirects button on your browser. Let me guide you with these steps:
While the option is not yet available, I'll share this suggestion with our Developers team. They'll gather information about these ads to enhance the product and deliver the best experience for all QuickBooks users.
You may also send Feedback to our Developers through our Feedback page. On this forum, you can also see the latest and updated features in QuickBooks Online.
On the other hand, you can check out the topics from this link for more tips and resources while working with QuickBooks in the future: Help articles, video tutorials, and more.
You can always post a Reply or mention my name if you have concerns with the system. I'll be happy to assist you.
Contact us in private and we may share a few options to explore.
In other words, if I disable popups for all sites this will work? Because I already have done that, and QB is the ONLY site that seems to bypass that and continue with the ads. Furthermore, its the same ad, thousands of times, every time I go to accept a check or make a deposit. I think if I wanted that (Expensive) service I would have asked for it by now. Intuit is certainly capable of allowing us to disable these - for some perverse reason they seem to care more about their upselling than they do about their customers. I am looking into alternatives. Sage comes to mind - it's specific to the construction industry and doesn't do things like that. The only thing holding me back is that I don't want to have to learn a new system. I've been using QB for 20 years, and these popup ads have only started recently.
Please tell them to stop!
Yes there is a good alternative to QB. It's called ZOHO. Cheaper than QB, customizable, and the support / development staff actually listens to the users. Unfortunately, QB is not keeping up with the other companies that occupy this space, and eventually it will be to late to fix. It's to bad we have to do this to get software that performs at the level we expect. QB sales team - here's an idea, if the development team actually implemented some of these changes, you wouldn't have to constantly upsell to keep your revenue stream intact.
Did someone post a list of alternatives to using quickbooks. I'm being forced to go online, and move to a subscription base. The biggest issue is that at the end of each year I'm forced to renew now, or I'm locked out of my own company data.
Are you using QB Online or QB Desktop?
Welcome to the Community, @ForcedOnline.
I want to assist you here promptly. However, as per checking, I've seen that you've posted the same concern in another post, which my colleague has already answered. With this, I suggest posting any updates there to keep the post streamlined.
If you haven't seen my colleague's response yet, please refer to this article: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/other-questions/re-quickbooks-desktop-pro-2024-sta...
