Is there a report that I can get that will give me a list of all the customers that paid in a certain city last year?

Hi there, @joemcilvainetree. I'm here to help you get the report you need.

 

You can customize that report to only show customers who made a payment for a specific period. Here's how:

    1. Open the report and click the Customize button.
    2. In the Report period field, select Custom and set the date range to January 01, 2021, to December 31, 2021
    3. Next, go to the Rows/columns section and check the box for A/R paid.
    4. Then, from the Filter section, tick the box for Transaction Type and choose the specific transaction.
    5. Mark also the A/R Paid checkbox and choose Paid.
    6. Once done, click Run report.

 

If you have the location feature turned on, you can run the Sales by Location Detail report and perform the same steps above to filter the report. Here's how to open it:

    1. Go to the Reports menu.
    2. Scroll down to the Sales and customers section.
    3. Then, click the Sales by Location Detail report.

Also, you'll want to save the changes to apply the same format in the future. To do so, you can simply click the Save customization button.

What's the best report to start off with? I did a customer contact list which doesn't give you the option to do dates.

I don't have the option "sales by location"

Since you don't have the option for Sales by Location Detail, you'll want to turn on the location tracking first. Here's how to turn it on:

  1. Go to Settings, then select Account and Settings.
  2. Select Advanced.
  3. In the Categories section, select the Edit icon.
  4. Select the checkbox to track locations.
  5. Click Save, then Done.

Then, try running the Sales by Location Detail from the Reports tab. Or you can follow DivinaMercy_N's steps on how to pull it out.

 

You can also run the Transaction List by Customer. From there you can customize the Filter to show customer payments by location. 

 

I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Scroll down to the Sales and customers section.
  3. Then, click the Transaction List by Customer report.
  4. Click Customize.
  5. From the Filter dropdown, check the box for Transaction Type and select Payment.
  6. Check the box for Location and select All.
  7. Hit Run report.
