I can provide some information about notes in the customer's profile.
Currently, notes that can be exported from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online are only up to 4000 characters for Customers and Jobs. The feature to extend the number of the limit will be a great addition to the current features that we have.
I invite you to provide input to our developers so that this feature can be added to future releases. Rest assured, I'll do the same on my end.

Is there a way to export customer notes from QB Desktop to another QB Desktop?
You can check the migration tool. It's one time license and you can use the same license for both company files.

You'll be glad to know you can export customer notes from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) using the Customer Contact List report. On the other hand, if you import the data to the other company, you'll need to use a migration tool, as mentioned by 4Gal.
To export customer notes:
Now, you can import this to another company or QBDT using a third-party app migration tool.

I have the same problem, Had many customer note on desk top, and a very small portion of the notes transferred over to online, HELP! I called support: Did not get a good answer or solution.
