Is there a way to modify the way that "default reports" show columns? There are too many columns in the default report and I want to not show them by default

By default, columns shown are: Date, Transaction Type, Num, Name, Memo/Description, Account, Split, Amount and Balance I want to see, by default, only the following: Date, Name, Memo/Description, Amount, Balance How can I modify the default columns - every time I try to amend the view it creates a customized report - this is what I don't want

Welcome to the Community, Vince. 

 

As of the moment, the feature that you want in customizing your report is not possible. 

 

As a workaround, I can provide you with steps wherein you can memorize your report with the columns that you want to have. 

 

Here's how:

  1. Find and display the report you want to memorize.
  2. Select Customize.
  3. Once the report is customized the way you like it, select Run report, then Save customization.
  4. In the Custom report name field, enter a descriptive name for the report.
  5. If you want to add this report to a group, select Add this report to a group, then choose an existing group or create a new one.
  6. If you want to share the report with other users, select Share with, then choose the users. Sharing the report will add it to other users' My custom reports. 
  7. Once the desired options are set, select Save.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your comments or product suggestions. 
  4. Then select Next to submit feedback.

Thank you for your response, but the memorized report is not useful at all for our purposes.
