Migration Problem. I migrated from Quickbooks Desktop to Quickbooks On-line June 2023. Huge issue now with the Balance Sheet for past years.

The past Balance Sheet accounts now are completely wrong. Entries are not being booked properly.

You should open your company file in QB Desktop and run the comparative trial balance report to find the discrepancies. You can fix it with Journal Entry in QB Online later.

Migration Problem. I migrated from Quickbooks Desktop to Quickbooks On-line June 2023. Huge issue now with the Balance Sheet for past years.

I did run a trial balance and compared it. A quick fix is to make one entry but, then all my past work is off forever. I did not migrate with the idea that my past work would be incorrect and not agree when I want past reports and comparatives. Quickbooks support has not helped at all! They keep promising a call back or contact and that has not happened.

Another option, go back to your QB Desktop file and convert it to a new QBO account. Make sure everything is fine and you can migrate new data from your old QBO account or purchase a third-party service to do so.

I hear your sentiments, Marina. I'm here to provide some updates regarding the issue with your balance sheet reports from migrating your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'll also point you in the right direction for support.

 

If you're having some issues with missing transactions in your Balance Sheet reports, please know that we've received reports that some users have also encountered the same issue you're having. Rest assured, our Engineering Team is looking into it and working to implement a permanent solution to fix this problem. Unfortunately, we don't have an expected timeline for when the issue will be resolved.

 

To get you in the loop on the latest updates on the issue, I encourage you to contact our Customer Care Team  if you haven't already. This way, they can add you to the list of affected users and notify you via email of the resolution updates. You can present this investigation number (INV-97257) to our representative to speed up the process. Here’s how to get in touch with them:

 

  1. Log in to your QBO account.
  2. Click the ? Help button at the top right corner.
  3. Go to the Search tab, then select Contact Us.
  4. Enter a brief discussion with your concern, then click Continue.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us.
