Weird situation but I had QBO since 2016, in 2019 moved to a new bookkeeping service and they used their own version of QBO. (NOTE: this means we now have 2 files). Got a non-profit discount through TechSoup and it forced me to create yet another file. I need to combine all three together into the new one. I copied File1 using backup and copy, but for File2 I need to export and import transactions.
The question is: what reports should I use to export the 2019-2021 data? This has been super frustrating to say the least. I didn't want a new account, but the nonprofit discount was too good to pass up.
Thanks for checking in with us, keeleymb.
We can run the Transaction Detail by Account report and customize the report to Account and Transaction Type where the non-profit discount is associated with. From there, we can export it to Excel. Here's how:
To learn more about this one, check out this article: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online. Also, you'll want to check for a third-party application that can help you combine the three files and export data to your account. You can check out the apps that are compatible with QuickBooks at this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home/. We can also do it in QBO by following the steps below:
Any questions about integrating the app into your Online account are best handled by the third-party app provider. For more tips and other resources, you may visit our page in managing your business in QuickBooks: QucikBooks Onlne Self-help articles.

Utilize a migration tool

Otherwise, consider purchasing a 3rd party merging service.
Were you able to figure it out? I am having the same problem. Bought a TechSoup subscription but already have an account. Have been on the phone with QuickBooks for a while now and they have no idea how to do it.
Do you need to migrate data from one QBO account to a new QBO account provided by TechSoup?
In term of cost, you can follow these steps for free:
1. Convert your data to a QB Desktop file format
2. Install the trial version for QB Desktop to restore the file
3. Convert your data from QB Desktop to the new QB Online account.
Keep in mind, due to conversion limitations, you may find some missing data in your new QBO account (e.g estimate, purchase order, attachments, custom fields). You may consider to purchase a 3rd party service to migrate data as the solution.
