My Accountant

Greetings,

I am an Accountant and have a practice account with QBO. My client has an account which is not in the region that supports My Accountant. My question is if we change region to, say UK, will that affect their data?

Thank you.

You can change the region of your client's QBO account by opening a new blank QBO account. You will make some adjustments while doing it for some types of transactions (e.g multicurrency, payroll). The biggest challenge is when you also change your home currency (e.g USD to GBP). You may have 2 ways to migrate data:

1. Utilize a migration tool

https://transactionpro.grsm.io/qbo

2. Purchase a 3rd party migration service.

You need to have a QBOA US account to manage QBO US accounts and a QBOA UK account to manage QBO UK accounts. You are only allowed to use one email address to open a QBOA account.

Thank you for your prompt response.

But you have not responded adequately. I saw it somewhere that you can change the region of the client to yours to able to see the "My Accountant" tab in the client's account. So, my question is, if we change the region of the client to match that of my practice, doesn't affect my client's data?

Thank you.
