I've got you covered, @FOK Treasurer.
I point you in the right direction of how to get a Trial Balance report with the Current Month Debit/Credit and Year-To-Date (YTD) Debit/Credit. All you need to do is pull the Trial Balance report up in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account and change the reporting period.
Here's how:
5. From the "report period" box, you can choose which time frame you'd like to run this report through.
6. Once you're ready, press Run Report.
That's all there is to it! In addition, you can customize your reports in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
Now you should be able to run the Trial Balance report and customize it if needed for your business. I'm only a post away if you have any other concerns. I'm always around to help. Have a great day!

thanks, but that really doesnt work, even tho i know it asks for "months-
certainly you have a "test" company with sample transactions !!
add a single transaction in say, October 2020, and then run your suggestion
i am hoping for a Debits/Credit columns for October only ( that should have only 1 transaction)
, and then the standard 2 column for "YTD" debits and credits
also, i am using the "nonProfit" QBO format, so i cant even run a "profit/loss" or balance sheet
thanks for your help tho

Hello, FOKtreasurer.
When you subscribe to QuickBooks Online for Nonprofit, the balance sheet in the report is called Statement of Financial Position.
However, if you're looking for a report that shows only 1 transaction for October and the other 2 columns for "YTD" is not possible in QuickBooks. Though you can run the Trial Balance report, and modify the specific date, and export it to a PDF file.
To learn more about exporting report, you can check out this article: Export your reports to Excel from QuickBooks Online.
You can also check this article about customizing a report: How to customize reports.
Here’s an article for your reference: Download and save invoices, other sales forms, and statements as PDF.
That should do it. Feel free to leave a comment below if you need anything else. I want to ensure your success. Take care!
