I have QuickBooks for Mac 2020. Recently, I bought a new Mac mini. After transferring all my files to the new Mac and opening QuickBooks, I got a window stating that I had 14 more uses of QuickBooks 2020 before I had to register it.
How do I register it? Why am I getting this message?
I do not want to switch to a QB subscription, it's too expensive. I've never used any of the online services QB offers. I can accept not getting any more upgrades. We are a very small business and will probably close in 5 years or less.
How can I continue to use my desktop QB 2020 for Mac?
Thanks for your help!
Terry
Hi there, @FullHarvest.
I'll be sure to provide the steps on how to register QuickBooks 2020 to your new Mac device, so you'll be able to continue using the program in managing your business.
Once you install and open QuickBooks on your new device, you'll have to register it the same way you registered the first time before you can open your data. Since this is a new device and probably connected to an internet connection, QuickBooks will send you a prompt to register or the remaining days before you register.
Also, since QBDT 2020 for Mac has a one-time license, you can use the same license and product numbers to register QuickBooks.
To activate QuickBooks, follow the steps below:
You can view this article for more detailed steps: Register QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
Additionally, you can download the 30-day trial version of QuickBooks Desktop for Mac to try its features before purchasing it.
You can also check this article to install it in case you want to upgrade: Install and set up QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
Keep me posted if you need anything else about managing QBDT on a new device. I'm always here to help you anytime. Take care and keep safe!
Can you login to CAMPS and find your license code there?
Another option, you can use the trial version as a workaround.
