Requiring, monitoring, and enforcing all QBO users utilize MFA is often a requirement of contract. Why can't the primary admin enforce MFA in QBO?

This has been requested and discussed since 2020. This should be a security feature managed by the primary admin.

Requiring, monitoring, and enforcing all QBO users utilize MFA is often a requirement of contract. Why can't the primary admin enforce MFA in QBO?

The idea to allow primary admin to enforce MFA to QBO users is great, especially when it comes to login security, James. I understand how it is essential as the owner of the company to have control of the overall account's security measures, and I also recognize the effort of submitting a request for this option in previous years.

Please know that multi-factor authentication is already present in QBO. These security metrics will trigger when your users sign on to a device that our system does not recognize. We will send a one-time passcode through email or mobile device for authentication. However, the primary admin does not have control over this. Check out this article for more information: Secure your Intuit Account and prevent lockout with extra verification methods.

Concerning that it has been requested and discussed since 2020, keep in mind that the implementation of a feature request in QBO will depend on the number of users who express their thoughts on having it. With that in mind, I suggest resubmitting feedback about letting the primary admin have control over managing MFA access to all their users. Once our development team sees that this will improve the experience of all business owners, they can add this to our next product updates.
