Before proceeding, make sure QuickBooks is up-to-date, and your company file isn’t too big to export. Once everything is verified, we can now import your desktop file to QuickBooks Online.

Once done, run one of your financial reports on the two versions. This will help us check if your import is successful. You can run a Proft ann Loss in QuickBooks Online and compare it to the desktop report. If your reports match, you can get started with QuickBooks Online. If not, find out what data doesn't convert when you migrate from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

It is possible you QBO account was purged. You can use the same account or open a new blank QBO account to migrate your data from QBD.
