You have QB Online + QB Online Payroll, correct?
You can convert your data from QB Online to QB Desktop file and use the trial version to access your historical data for good.
It's sad to see you go, mox.

After that, your account will be permanently deleted from the system, so consider downloading your reports and lists to retain your records outside QuickBooks.
Check these articles for more details on exporting reports and other data in QBO:

Thanks Maybelle for answering. I do not have Quickbooks Online but using Quickbooks Pro 2021 desktop and Quickbooks Online Payroll. Is there then a different procedure for transferring all my data from Online Payroll to my QB Pro 2021 than what you suggest in your response . or is it pretty much the same?
Hi Maybelle, I tried just minutes ago but I feel i must have done something incorrect as it did not post. I am using Quickbooks 2021 desktop , not Quickbooks Online and it's my QB Online payroll I would like to be able to transfer to my QB2021 Desktop. Is the procedure then a bit different from your comment?
Another weird thing Maybelle is you will see my name is now mox2 . for some reason when I tried to view your first response from the link in my email I needed to "choose user ID to join community" I inserted mox and was told that name was taken, weird
Greetings, @mox2. Please know we understand the urgency of this matter and that this isn't the experience we'd want you to have when using QuickBooks. I'm here to share a few insights about migrating your data from QuickBooks Online Payroll to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2021 version and ensure you can execute the process accordingly.
When transitioning from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you may notice variations in the appearance of your financial records. Certain features, lists, and transactions may not be transferred during the migration process. Only lists can be transferred using the migration tool, and payroll data, as well as regular checks on the accounting side will also be included. For further details on the specifics of how your data moves from QBO to QBDT, you can refer to this article: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.
To migrate them automatically, I'd suggest looking for an application that can achieve this. You can look for one through our Apps Center page.
I will guide you to our QuickBooks Desktop App Store, where you can select the perfect third-party application. You can also find a 3rd party connector to sync or integrate directly with your Ecwid store.
Proceed with the following steps:
Also, in case you may need more info and guidance with the processes behind how to set up your new QBDT Payroll service and how you can import and export Intuit Interchange Format (IIF) files to and from the system, I'd recommend checking out these articles:
Feel free to reach out to me whenever you require further help with transferring your data from QuickBooks Online Payroll to QuickBooks Desktop. I'm more than happy to offer you additional support. Take care, and have a great day!
I'll try to be more clear.
I am using QB Online Payroll. I would like to know if it's possible to receive/download All information having to do with my QB Online Payroll account. It does not have to be transferred to my QB Desktop 2021 program. I would just like to have all information transferred to my computer for reference, as I am retiring.
Thank You,
Mox
Let me assist you with downloading your QuickBooks Online (QBO) Payroll data, @mox2.
The data you can download from QBO Payroll is limited to your lists and reports. You can export these reports and lists into individual Excel files contained in a zip file in one process. Here's how:
You'll receive a confirmation once the data has been exported. If you need to export a different report, you can export it to Excel.
Please note that exported reports include data from posting transactions such as invoices, receipts, bills, and balances. To export non-posting information excluded in Reports and Lists, refer to this article's "Export non-posting transactions and attachments" section: Export reports, lists, and other data from QuickBooks Online.
If you're using QBO Advanced, you can back up all your data and save it to Dropbox or Google Drive. For a detailed guide, visit this article: Back up and restore your QuickBooks Online Advanced Company.
Alternatively, you can convert your data from QBO to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and use the trial version to access your reports.
