Suggestion - the interface for QBO relies very heavily on using a mouse; one could be much more efficient if more could be done without it - e.g., CTL+ENTER = Add button

Hi @jerryu,

I appreciate you for sharing your thoughts on QuickBooks Online (QBO). We always welcome our customer's feedback as a way to improve our products and how to move forward in the future.

QBO has shortcut keys available. You can view the whole list by holding down Ctrl + Alt + ? on the Dashboard page.

You can also keep this article for reference: Keyboard shortcuts for QuickBooks Online. It lists different pages within QBO, and the corresponding shortcut keys available for them.

if you'd like to access your QBO company within an app on your PC, instead of a browser, see this page: QuickBooks Apps. Click the Free Download link to install the QBO WIndows app.

Let me know if you have other questions. Utilize the comments section below, and I'll be sure to get back to you.

hi ryan,

thank you for the reply.

while slightly helpful in some cases, it doesn't really address the most significant place (for me) where the shortcut would be useful: completing the review of new transactions.

sure, i can tab around in there, which i have been doing ... but having to tab all the way to the *add* button and being able to quickly and easily see that the *add* button is selected isn't ideal.

you really have to be paying attention to know if you've tabbed to it and you might start from a different place in the record each time, so the number of tabs to get to it varies.

it would be super helpful if that *add* button had a keyboard shortcut, too. e.g., CTL+A or SHIFT+CTL+A

you see what i'm saying?

hi ryan,

thanks for your reply.

i wasn't aware of that list; thank you.

however, it's missing a key function that i use the most in quickbooks online: adding a reviewed record.

yes, i can get into the record and tab around to set the contactor/vendor, etc ... but when done, i have to tab all the way to the *add* button. and worse, the highlight around the *add* button isn't significant so you really have to pay attention to know when you get to it. and further, you start at a different place each time, so the number of tabs varies from record to record.

it would be very helpful if there was a keyboard shortcut for this *add* button. say: CTRL+A or CTRL+SHIFT+S

this way, as soon as you are done with your record, you hit that, and you're on to the next one.

no more having to tab a number of times and look to see if you're there or not - or tab backwards to go back to it, etc.
