Technical issue: every time I click save, Quickbooks Online brings me back to the home screen. How can I fix this?

For example, if I create a bill under a vendor, when I click save, it brings me back to the home screen, so if I want to create a check for that bill, I have to click on Vendors, search for the vendor and open it again. Once I create the check, it will take me back to te home screen again. This makes getting any work done take so much longer than normal. I have cleared my cookies and site data multiple times and tried in both Chrome and Edge and have had the same issue for weeks now.

I've replicated your issue on my sample company file, and I was able to save a transaction without QuickBooks bringing me back to the Home screen. I also look for an open investigation regarding the issue, but there's none.

 

This unusual behavior should be fixed by clearing the browser's cache or using other browsers. Since it didn't work, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further check on this matter and provide in-depth troubleshooting steps to get this resolved. They can also create an investigation ticket if other users are experiencing the same.

Technical issue: every time I click save, Quickbooks Online brings me back to the home screen. How can I fix this?

I was able to resolve the issue by disabling the Dashlane extension on my browser; apparently the frequency in which is generate cookies causes disruptions.
