For my bank accounts (checking, savings, PayPal, money market), information in Chart of Accounts / Edit Account ported over garbled. I am able to clear the bank account no. and routing fields, and assign the Tax-Line Mapping, then save. However, when I attempt to Save after entering the routing number and bank account number, I get the error message "Quickbooks in unable to complete this operation and needs to restart. Quickbooks will restart automatically." And it does.
I've run "Quick Fix My File" and "Run Quickbooks File Doctor." Both report no errors, problem remains. Any ideas?
Open your company file and try running the Condense Data utility with any scenario. Did you encounter any error message?

4Gal, thanks but alas the problem is still there after running Condense Data.
Gebel, two different issues. You might want to re-read my posts more carefully.
Consider to install the trial version of QB Desktop 2024 Enterprise . Did you encounter the same issue?
I understand the importance of entering your bank account routing and account numbers while using QuickBooks Desktop, @Catellus Engineering.
I can see that you have already taken the necessary troubleshooting steps to fix the issue you're facing. However, since the problem still persists, I recommend contacting our customer support team for further assistance. They have the required tools and expertise to investigate the matter and provide appropriate solutions. Here's how:
Please note that for Pro, Premier, and Plus, the support hours are from Monday to Friday, from 6 AM to 6 PM. For Enterprise, any time, any day.

Hi 4Gal, well, I cannot afford Enterprise for my one-person business. So were the issue to go away there, it would be moot. I just took some time, installed 2024 on another old Windows 10 system, and the account information is just fine when restored from backup. For this reason, and because (as mentioned in another post) I cannot login to my Intuit account on the Windows 11 system, I think I am, sadly, going to drop the new system back to Windows 10.
Thank you for your help, it is appreciated!
