Hi,
Here's the screenshot. We chose Hourly Cost.
Here's the screenshot from the "Overview"
Thank you for sharing a screenshot, Jayme. Allow me to share information on how to correct your report.
The Hourly Cost allows you to track labor costs based on estimated hourly rates for employees. On the other hand, Direct Labor includes actual payroll expenses (wages, taxes, workers comp insurance) incurred after running payroll.
Since your report shows both Hourly Costs and Direct Labor in your project overview, I suggest checking if you have set up the correct settings for project tracking (Hourly Costs or Direct Labor).
Here's how:
Additionally, you track hourly labor costs and profitability by project in QuickBooks Online to improve productivity and increase profit margins.

Hi.. did you ever figure out an acceptable troubleshoot for this? I am having the same issue.
I can provide the necessary steps to figure out the direct labor shown in the Project's Overview, kharding1.
In reference to the original poster's issue and accompanying screenshots, the account boxes visible under the Costs column are based on the selection made in the Wage Account within Payroll Settings. If you have established a Direct Labor account under COGS, you can switch it to Payroll Expense, which is the default account in the system and will remove the Direct Labor from the Overview page.
Please know that any changes to the Wage account will not apply retroactively. If you have processed payroll through a paper check, delete and recreate it. Otherwise, void the paycheck or reach out to our Support Team for assistance.

Unfortunately, there's none.
it's a glitch in the report. When you select a job to see the costs you want to select "see info based on "--Payroll Expenses. If you select hourly costs it shows payroll under hourly costs and also direct labor. If you do just payroll expenses it just shows labor under cost of goods sold.
