Sending accurate information when adding your accountant is important, fred-goodrum-rum. I'm here to provide you with the steps.

Setting up your account when you signed up for QuickBooks Online(QBO) is very important. Let's update your Company settings to ensure accurate information shows when inviting new users. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Choose Account and settings.
  3. Under the Company tab, hit the Company name section.
  4. Click Save, then Done.

Also, you can check out this article for more details on updating business information: Changing business info QuickBooks.

Finally, I've added this article as a future reference to learn how you can manage your new users to your account: Add and manage users in QBO.

The Community is always open if you have other concerns or follow-up questions about managing your QBO company information fred-goodrum-rum. I'll be here to help. Stay safe.

After completing the steps.
emails remain unaffected and continue to have 'No Company'.

This is the email header  my accountant received ...

From: No company name (via Intuit services) <[email address removed]>

Subject: No company name has invited you to use ...

The body included the sentence ...

... Frederick Goodrum has invited you to join Quickbooks Online Plus as a user of No company name ...

I appreciate your imediate response. To show the correct company name on email invitations is also important for us.

I also checked the previous reply and it looks like all steps to correct the name has already been shared.

In this case, I would recommend reaching out to our support team. They will carefully check your account and take the necessary actions to ensure that the email invitation correctly reflects the correct company name.

Here's how to reach out to them:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner of QBO.
  2. Proceed to the Assistant tab.
  3. Type in "contact support" in the chat box and press Enter.
  4. Select QuickBooks Online Support, then click Contact Us at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Click Ask about something else, then enter a short description of your concern.
  6. Choose between Have us call you or Chat.

I would like to share a couple of articles that you can be helpful when managing account details and working in QuickBooks Online:

Keep in touch with us if you need further assistance with sending your info to your accountant. I'd be happy to help.

We can close this thread.
The actual solution was determined during my second chat session were this issue is a known issue and is actively being worked as there are a number of open tickets regarding this issue.

The workaround I used was to inform the Accountant that the email invite sent has the wrong sender and header information but, the link is valid and he could proceed. I also included a confirmation note from Intuit support noting the issue.
