When inviting someone to a QBO company, all invitation emails contain "No company name" instead of the actual company name.

This issue occurs for any newly created company, not only for this one. This is very critical for us.

Here is an example of an invitation email sent by QuickBooks:

"Denis" asked you to join the "QuickBooks" team for "No company name."

Hi there, Diffusi_on

I understand how important it is to send accurate information, especially when inviting new users to QuickBooks Online. I'll guide you on how to resolve this.

It's possible that the company name in your QuickBooks Online account was not properly set up when you signed up. To fix this, you just need to go to your Company settings and update the Company name.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear Settings gear icon. icon and choose Account and settings.
  2. Select Company tab , then ✎ Edit in the Company name section. If you can’t edit the Company name, Legal name, EIN, or you see Error -7000, you'll need to edit your company info in your payments and payroll accounts first.
  3. Click Save, then Done.

For more details on updating business information, you can check out this link: Change your business name, contact info, or EIN in QuickBooks Online.

I've added this article as a future reference to learn how you can manage your new users to your QuickBooks Online account: Add and manage users in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you still have other concerns or follow-up questions about managing your QuickBooks Online account or sending emails. I'll be here to help. Have a great day!

Not working. I've tried renaming the company multiple times, but the invite emails still show "No Company Name"

I appreciate your response and quick update, Diffusi_on. Being able to show the correct company name on email invitations is also important for us.

I also checked the previous reply and it looks like all steps to correct the name has already been shared with you.

In this case, I would recommend reaching out to our support team. They will carefully check your account and take the necessary actions to ensure that the email invitation correctly reflects the correct company name.

Here's how to reach out to them:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner of QBO.
  2. Proceed to the Assistant tab.
  3. Type in "contact support" in the chat box and press Enter.
  4. Select QuickBooks Online Support, then click Contact Us at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Click Ask about something else, then enter a short description of your concern.
  6. Choose between Have us call you or Chat.

I would like to share a couple of articles that you can be helpful when managing account details and working in QuickBooks Online:

Was this ever resolved with phone support?  I am having the same issue and am awaiting a call back this morning. I was told last night to fill out a 'name change' form and wait 3-5 days which, is too long of a wait.

If the support folks did resolve your No company name issue, how did they repair the issue?
