You can run some steps to identify why the audit history keeps popping out.
To start with, try opening QuickBooks on a private window. This is the safest place to tell if you're experiencing some browser-related issues. I've added these shortcut keys to open one:
If you're able to edit it from there, you can go back to a regular browser and clear the cache. Cache are previously visited sites. Once these gets piled up, you'll be encountering browser issues.
You can also use a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge.
I've also added this reference for more information in managing expenses: Enter and manage expenses in QuickBooks Online.
There you have it. Let me know if you need help in preparing taxes. I've got your back!
Nope. No joy in private mode. With Edge, IE, or Chrome on a PC or even Safari on an iPad. Same behavior on all devices.
I think it's pretty easily replicated. Have you tried what I described?
Thank you for trying the steps mentioned by my colleague above, @tech-bluehillcon.
Yes, I've performed what you've mentioned above and it works perfectly fine in my QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

Hello,
I have the same exact issue and question.
This is most certainly another inconvenient glitch in QBO. Doesn't matter what browser. It's an endless trap.
Have you been able to figure out the issue?
LM
HI!
Have you had any luck with getting an answer?
Still happening....
I'm wondering the same thing.
Thanks for joining this thread again, @LMaynJJM.
I want to stop the audit log report stop popping out as soon as possible. This way, you can review your QuickBooks transaction without any distractions.
This usually happens if your server was disrupted or corrupted. Too much cache build-up in your regular browser can sometimes cause unexpected behavior in the product.
Have you tried the troubleshooting steps outlined above by my colleague AdrianA? If so, and the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting our technical team. One of our agents will investigate this further and provide additional troubleshooting steps to get this fixed. They can also create an investigation ticket if other users are experiencing the same. To reach them, please follow the steps provided by MaryJoyD. Make sure to contact them within business hours to ensure a swift response.
Moreover, check out these articles below to know more about how to make expense billable and manage bill payments in QuickBooks:
If you have other questions or concerns that need immediate attention, please let me know in the comment below. I'll be more than happy to help. Be safe always.
I also experience this and the go to response is always clear your cache, incognito mode, or call and speak to a human. It's not the browser, its QB itself. Most time your agents have no clue how to fix when talking to them.
I have the same issue and agree that this is a glitch/shortcoming of QBO. Very frustrating when trying to look at the audit history of a series of transactions/journal entries first isolated in a search, as after looking at one the entire search needs to be recreated to see a different one.
