You can't export until you sign in to QuickBooks Online again. Go to Export preferences and sign in again.

Thank you for providing us with the details and the specific error message you received when exporting your data from QB Standalone Online Payroll to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You'll be asked to sign in to your QuickBooks Online account to sync them. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online, then select the company your payroll transactions should sync to.

Moreover, here is some information about export blockers and limitations for Standalone Payroll:

  • The Primary Admin must be the one to complete the Export setup.
  • If the Primary Admin is a Firm user, they must transfer the role to a non-Firm user first.
  • Standalone Payroll can't export transactions to QBO accounts with payroll.

On the other hand, if you've tried signing out of QuickBooks, adjusting Export Preferences, and signing in again but still get the same message, I suggest getting in touch with them again so they can further determine the root cause of the issue and raise an investigation if necessary. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help icon and choose the Search tab.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Describe your concern and select Continue.
  4. Choose between Chat with us and Have us call you.

I'm adding this article you can use in the future: Run payroll reports.

If you have more questions about exporting data in QuickBooks Online, just post them here in the comment below. I'll be sure to stick around and answer all of them at any possible time. Have a great weekend!
