We caught an employee in the act of embezzlement, we've terminated that employee but he is still out there stealing leads from my business Oregon Greenhouse. He just registered with the state of Oregon on 7/5/24 & is using Quickbooks to send payment links to my customers under his name Sunbow [removed]. How do I report him as fraud or get this to stop? I need someone's help please.

Hello there, info1058.
We prioritize safeguarding your information so you can continue your business operations. I also acknowledge how this affects your business and your relationship with customers. Let me share a few steps we can take to fight against thievery.
First, inform your customers regarding this fraudulent activity by your previous employee. Notify them about the differences in your business name and how to recognize the legit invoices from you. This way, we can ensure you receive the payments and control the embezzlement.
Next, review your account log-ins to confirm the employee has no access. By doing so, we can stop him from knowing the details of your receivables.
Additionally, I recommend consulting with a legal professional or law enforcement agency regarding this case since he recently registered with the state. You can consider filing a complaint with the Oregon Department of Justice or the Federal Trade Commission. Rest assured that they have the authority to help prevent fraud, deception, and unfair business practices while protecting you.
Moreover, the most effective way to save yourself from these security threats is to be aware and take preventive measures. With this, share this reminder with your customers to determine official Intuit communications and websites: Identify suspicious activity, phishing scams, and potential fraud.
Furthermore, these resources will guide you in editing your account credentials and the info your customers see on sales forms and invoices:
I appreciate your patience as we’ve gone through all of this. You can reply below for additional queries when managing security and fraud issues. Take care.
My case number is 15131046996. I received an e-mail from [email address removed] informing me I was approved by QuickBooks, when I never had applied to open an account with QuickBooks. When checking my TurboTax account, I saw three accounts listed, recognized two of them, the third one, I didn't. It turns out that a 'company' by the name of Global Marketing Media was behind the e-mail address that sent it. Contacting QuickBooks, I was promptly helped and assured it was taken care of and that it was taken off my account and no charges were applied. Finally, was asked to report it, which is what I'm doing here. Thanks!
Someone hacked my QuickBooks Online account. They made an invoice, then paid it and had the money instantly transferred. It also says the money is in process of be transferred and will on 7/11/25.
We prioritize the protection of your information to ensure smooth business operations. I understand how these situations can affect your business and customer relationships, Mark.

This company is not taking their role seriously. They hire overseas employees that are harvesting data for only GOD knows for what. I have called asked for the corporate compliance department to be told" We dont have one" asked for supervisor was told there is not one. All speaking to foreign reps, also one rep told me there is no history of me calling in. Im a small business owner using these services to process my customers payments. Please explain why quickbooks is not worried about their employees harvesting or data like my entire social my company is not under my socail so please explain why they need my entire social and my bank account info. This is a major FTC issue, quickbooks has a legal responsibility to safe guard data and they dont appear to even have a compliance department???
