Revising line items on invoices

What happened to the trash can on the right side of the line items on invoices for deleting the line items ? Now there are three dots I have to click on to choose delete?

Revising line items on invoices

If you're using the New Invoice layout, the trash can icon for deleting line items has been replaced by three dots, @pbb2. Let me discuss this in detail.

In the Old Invoice design, the way to delete a line item is by clicking the trash can icon which turns into three dots in the new design. This change is part of QuickBooks Online's ongoing interface updates.

See the screenshot below for the differences between the two interfaces.

@Nicole_N Thank you for your response.  I totally understand how to use the dots instead of the trash can, but it makes absolutely no sense!!  Previously, I could click on the trash can one time to delete the line item.  Now, I have to click on the dots, then click on delete.  This may seem very simple to QuickBooks, but it just takes more time when there are many line items to delete.  I would like to have the simple trash can back!!

@Nicole_N Also, the three dots do not have other options when clicking on them.  The only option is delete.

@pbb2  See, it's all about perspective.

...

The other option is to do nothing.

Thanks @Nicole_N . I now understand why the trash can has disappeared. I'm using the new invoice layout and there's no way I can go back to the old one. The new update is time-consuming having to click twice just to delete a line item. I also want the old trash can icon. It's simple and easy. Is there any way we can do that?

@Nicole_N In answer to the question in your email, no your response is not a solution.  I already knew there were three dots with only "delete" popping up when clicked on.  I have to make two clicks now to delete a line item.  This may seem like a trivial complaint, but when there are many line items to delete, it takes twice as much time to delete the items.  I have sent feedback as suggested, but I am sure nothing will change.

There are no "3 dots"

Or trash can.

No ability to delete a line item on an invoice for me.

Which means I can't do business easily.

But congrats, Quickbooks, you've managed to add a ton of useless, resource hogging stuff like "business feed" and at this rate one QB window will consume 2GB of RAM by the end of the year.

Yet we still can't even customize fonts in important parts of custom forms.
