Setting up Classes

Why am I getting this message: You and [PII Removed] were working on this at the same time. [PII Removed] finished before you did, so your work was not saved.? J am [PII Removed] and when I turn on the class feature and save it and then go back to enter a transaction the feature is not turned on and I get this message when I try again.  No matter how many times I try to set it up, it will not save and set up the feature..

Setting up Classes

Hello there, TreasurerAMICA.

The error occurs in QuickBooks Online (QBO) when multiple users attempt to make changes simultaneously. If one user saves their changes while the other is still working, the system prioritizes the first save, and the second user's changes aren't saved

However, in your case, since you're the only one accessing the account, this error could be caused by having another tab or browser window open in the same session, which may conflict and cause the error to appear.

To resolve this, ensure that you are using only a single session when enabling the Class feature in QBO. First, log out of all active sessions across all devices or browsers to avoid any conflicts.

Once logged out, sign back into your QBO account and proceed to turn on the class tracking feature. Save your changes and verify that the feature remains enabled when you enter transactions.

Setting up Classes

The error resolved itself, even though I only had one window open. It looks like it takes some time for a new feature to actually set up once you save it. I turned on classes as instructed in QuickBooks made easy. And then went to check with the transaction and found that classes did not show up. I went back to turn on classes and discovered it had not been turned on and tried again and got the message I mentioned above. I did this several times to no avail. Finally, I signed out entirely and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes and then signed in again and discovered that the feature had been injured on as I requested. This is not an elegant solution, but if it works, I will keep that in mind when I turn on future solutions. I tried this with another feature and found the same situation, but at least I got it resolved. Thank you for your reply.
