Staying Logged In

I followed these directions to change login settings and stay logged in:

Stay logged in to QuickBooks company file (sign in without entering your password) (intuit.com)

So that I could switch between companies and not need to login each time but it's still prompting me (Admin) to login and enter my password each time. What might I be doing incorrectly?

Staying Logged In

It's nice to have you here, @rpsga.

Let me acknowledge your effort to ensure your account won't be logged off in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

The steps you had produced to keep you logged in are correct. However, there are certain scenarios wherein you have to consider. Thus, I recommend you check out the notes under A few things to consider in this article: Stay logged in to QuickBooks company file and sign in without entering your password.

Also, please make sure you have the latest version of QuickBooks by updating this to the latest version. This is to apply the latest fixes and features available.

Once you're certain that none of the scenarios listed is causing the problem, it's best to contact our Technical Support Team. Our phone support can pull up your account while maintaining your privacy securely. Also, they can provide fixes in no time.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), go to the Help menu.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, tick Let's talk, and choose a way to connect.

You may also refer to this article to check our support hours: Contact QuickBooks Desktop support.
